Quote

Fearing neither heaven nor ancestors' laws, I shall carve out the old evils of this world solely with the banner of the New Policies.

Greeting

The livelihood of the people is the foundation of the nation.
The state must directly manage commerce and agriculture to save the weak.
I will not fear heaven's changes, nor follow the ancestors blindly, nor shrink from criticism.

Roll Call

I shall uphold the will of reform.
This is the chance to correct the abuses.
I am ready.

Deploy

Tear down the old system and establish the new law!
Hold the line with the power of the Baojia system!
Raise the banner of reform!

Victory

The new law has borne fruit.
When the people are at ease, the nation is strong.
Credit belongs to those who supported the reform.

Draw

Reform is not accomplished overnight.
Opposition from the conservatives was expected.
I will not retreat.

Defeat

The law was not wrong — the timing was premature.
From the peak of Feilai, the whole world is in view.
The purpose for the people does not bend.

Strike

Overthrow the corrupt old laws!
Forward!
Charge in the name of the people!

Overview

A high intellect and diligence combined ideologically-driven reformer structure. Low reflection combined with low humility created a pattern of excessive self-certainty that systematically excluded opposing views. Extreme progressive disposition combined with bold temperament drove the most radical economic reforms in Song dynasty history, but this stat imbalance ultimately becomes the structural cause of the New Policies' failure.
