Quote

Call me a devil! I shall overwhelm the heretics trampling my homeland by impaling their necks in that vast forest of stakes without mercy!

Greeting

To correct ten sinners, one must die.
Call me Dracula, call me the Impaler. The Ottomans tremble before me.
Wallachia's freedom is not free. It was paid for in blood.

Roll Call

Set the stakes. Tonight we raid the Ottoman camp.
Do you remember the field where twenty-three thousand Turks were impaled? We do that again.
The forests of Wallachia are our ally. We emerge from darkness.

Deploy

Night attack! Strike the Sultan's tent!
Bring the prisoners! Line them before the enemy!
Charge! Bring me Mehmed's head!

Victory

The forest of stakes will have been their sight. They will never covet this land again.
Wallachia is no vassal of the Ottomans. Proven in blood.
Terror is the greatest wall. Today I raised it once more.

Draw

The Sultan has not retreated. I wait for nightfall.
If it cannot be done head-on, I go again in the dark.
Târgoviște was not taken. That is enough.

Defeat

Betrayed by my own brother. Betrayal cuts deeper than the enemy.
The vampire does not die. Neither does Wallachia's Dracula.
Even locked away, I bared my teeth. I will return.

Strike

Impale!
Skewer them!
Sow terror!

Overview

Extreme courage combined with very low temperance and benevolence produced a brutal commander who weaponized terror as a governing tool. High martial combined with psychological warfare enabled effective defense against the Ottomans, while the extreme deficiency in benevolence and temperance became the mechanism making him one of history's most brutal rulers.
