Quote

In the name of Black Spartacus, trampling Napoleon's army, I shall by all means sever the cruel Caribbean slave chains!

Greeting

I took up arms for my people's freedom. I shall die defending it.
You can cut the branches of the tree of liberty, but you cannot kill the roots.
The color of skin cannot determine a person's master. Nature made us free.

Roll Call

Brothers — the time to break the chains has come.
The liberation of Saint-Domingue is in our hands.
Will you live in chains, or fight as free men?

Deploy

Draw them into the mountains — we fight on our land!
Burn the plantations and advance!
Scatter into guerrilla formation and confuse the enemy!

Victory

The banner of freedom flies over this island.
We ourselves broke the chains of slavery.
Red, black, white — all the same people.

Draw

While the roots live, we do not fall.
Withdraw — but return to the mountains. We fight again there.
We hold on until the enemy is exhausted.

Defeat

Even if I fall, the roots of liberty remain.
I shall not let the blood of my comrades be in vain.
This defeat is not the end of the revolution.

Strike

Charge — liberty or death!
Break your chains!
Shatter the enemy's line!
