Quote

In human tragedy, the sweetest sorrow is simply the desperate pain brought upon by oneself.

Greeting

There are times when the truth is frightening to learn. Yet learn it we must.
There is one word that frees us from all the pain of life. That word is love.
All make mistakes. But only the wise recognize the error and correct it.

Roll Call

Fate calls. I shall follow.
Tomorrow belongs to tomorrow. I shall focus on today.
The chorus has taken its place. Let us begin.

Deploy

Topple the tyrant of hubris!
The man who thinks only he is right — his inside is hollow. Advance!
Stand against fate, but do not lose humility!

Victory

The gods stood on the side of justice.
A victory without arrogance — that is the true victory.
It was worth devoting eternity to honoring the dead.

Draw

Wisdom gained through suffering is not in vain.
The wheel of fate has not yet stopped turning.
Sometimes the tree that bends does not break.

Defeat

Hubris was the only sin.
The pain of learning the truth — nothing is heavier.
The time to gladden the living is short; the time to love the dead is eternal.

Strike

See the truth with the eyes of Oedipus!
The blade of fate cannot be dodged!
Break them with the will of Antigone!
