Piercing the stormy rough strait to by all means advance far west, I shall remain the great navigator who penetrated the round Earth!

Greeting

The sea is dangerous and the storms are terrible, but these obstacles have never been sufficient reason to remain ashore.
I vow to circumnavigate the globe. This is my oath.
Finding a strait no one has sailed is my destiny.

Roll Call

Sailors — the unknown sea calls us.
Five ships and these two hands are enough.
The western strait must exist. Trust me.

Deploy

Raise anchor — sail south toward the strait!
Even in a storm, hold the course!
Full sail — maximum speed!

Victory

A new sea has opened. I shall call it the Pacific.
There was no end of the world. The seas connect.
Overcome all obstacles and you always reach your destination.

Draw

The wind has only paused. It will blow again.
Read the current and adjust the course.
Turning back is not an option.

Defeat

The sea has refused me, but I do not give up.
The ship may be broken, but the will is not.
Those who survive will complete the voyage.

Strike

Fire the cannons!
Land — with cross and sword!
Push through — no retreat!

Overview

A pioneer-type character structure combining high intellect and extreme courage with exploratory will to design and execute an unprecedented voyage. Outstanding diligence and optimism made an impossible route real, but the reckless decision at the Battle of Mactan reveals the consequence of a not-high temperance score.
