Quote

By reviewing the old and realizing the new, I merely seek to fulfill the duty of a human.

Greeting

To learn and practice it from time to time — is that not a joy?
Virtue is never alone. It always has neighbors.
Is it not a delight when friends come from afar?

Roll Call

To know what you know and to know what you do not — that is true knowledge.
I shall step forward when the time is right.
When it comes to practicing benevolence, one yields to no one — not even one's teacher.

Deploy

The path is righteous — advance!
Observe propriety, but do not retreat!
March under the banner of the rectification of names!

Victory

How could heaven not have favored virtue?
The will of the noble man has at last been fulfilled.
They said benevolence was far away, yet here it is.

Draw

One must not rush. Do not covet petty gains.
Going too far is as bad as falling short.
Look within, correct your faults, and move on.

Defeat

To remain unresentful when unrecognized — is that not the mark of a noble man?
The true fault is not correcting one's faults.
Where there is will, there is always a way.

Strike

Right the wrong!
See what is right and act!
Subdue with propriety!
